The Griswold Inn, located in Essex, Connecticut, is the oldest continuously run tavern in the United States of America. it was founded by three brothers in the late 18 century. It has been run by only 6 families in its long history. The Inn was captured by the British and used as a base of operations during the War of 1812.

Through the days of film cameras, Instamatics, slides, and Polaroids, I have been the 'go to' person who has been responsible for documenting our family functions. Photography has always been a hobby, but retirement has afforded me the time and opportunity to develop my lifetime hobby into a passion. Combining my photography with family and travel, I have been able to enjoy all of my life's passions. My travels have taken me to many wonderful places as is evident through my galleries. One of my favorite destinations has been Italy. During my early travels to Italy, I was infatuated with my ancestry and wanted to see more and more of the country.
