Description
The gardens of the Schonbrunn Palace feature Neptune's Fountain, Gloriette and Great Parterre. Maria Theresa one of the Hapsburg's rulers decided the Gloriette should be designed to glorify the Hapsburg power. She ordered that the stone from the demolished Schloss Neugebaude should be recycled and used to build the Gloriette. Today there is a café from which a magnificent view of the city can be enjoyed.
