Description
During our tour of the covered bridges of New Hampshire, we viewed the Coombs Bridge which spans the Ashuelot River in the town of Winchester. The bridge style is of lattice truss and was constructed in 1837.
The bridge is named after its builder and owner, Anthony Coombs. The bridge played an important role in both the social and commercial development of the area.
